The Story of Starcatchers Theatre Camp

Stepping into the spotlight

Starcatchers (3)_edited.jpg

Starcatchers was founded in 2015 as part of The Solebury School Camps and was originally directed by Rebecca Summers. In 2024, the program was passed to longtime team member Hannah Dorph, who had worked with the camp for many years. Today, Hannah continues to build on the program’s foundation, expanding opportunities for young performers while preserving the creative spirit that has defined Starcatchers from the beginning.

Starcatchers currently offers two programs designed for different stages of a young performer’s training: one for students beginning their musical theatre journey (Starcatchers) and another for teens ready for a more advanced, pre-professional experience (Starcatchers Act II).

Each program focuses on building performance skills, confidence, and collaboration while culminating in a fully staged production.
